Learn what’s new in GarageBand for iOS
The air is a cool machine, no doubt. It is similar to the g4 which is still being used in some project studios that I am aware of. But there are quite a few things that I don't like about it, but that just means it is not for me. The only way I would suggest the air for any recording in garage band is if you were to use it just to record little. I installed Garageband 10.0.3 on my MacBook Pro 2013 when it was running Mavericks. I then purchased the additional sounds. I delayed downloading them all because at the time I didn't need them right. If a GarageBand update is available, click the Update button to download and install it. Check device or software compatibility If you're using an external audio interface, MIDI interface, storage system, control surface, or plug-in not made by Apple, make sure that it’s compatible with the latest version of GarageBand. I recently got a new MacBook Pro (yesterday) and I immediately upgraded it to Mavericks and got all the new iLife apps. However, GarageBand 10 is a major step backwards in my opinion (missing features/instruments). Can I download the previous version from the Mac App Store? It was installed on my Mac prior to my upgrade to Mavericks/new iLife.
